The lyrics are quite vague though, doesn't go specific with why the narrator is heavy-hearted. And why you'd need to "dance with the devil".
That could mean so many things But one thing's for sure is that the solution to feeling sad in this song is to dance your burdens away. Lol, clever that SoftMint on February 05, Link. I believe it's a general thing.
Life is cruel, it's tough, and makes you heavy-hearted and often jaded, but the sweet sensation that music brings can ease your mind like the snap of a finger. As though he can't finish his own thought, because he's so full of thought and yet lost inside as well.
So SO good. As though he can't finish because his head is so full of thoughts, and yet lost inside as well. I also agree with the other poster that it's "I am A man with A heavy heart. But there also seems to be a bit of an "illuminati" reference when he mentions the dance with the devil.
Since some people think music has become evil, he's saying it's like dancing with the devil. But that's all he can do to ease his mind. I don't think it has to do with drugs not every single song is about drugs lol but is just simply about music.
Music can be a drug of sorts, or an addiction, but I defnintely don't see references to actual substance abuse. Also, the "blind faith" line could be in reference to a belief or religion. Describing his concerns about the sanity of the director Will said at several points they throught he'd lost the plot as he banned everything post '91 from the set.
